The IOSH Managing Safety is a 5 day course nationally recognised and delivered as a block or day release course held at
Optimum-MBAs Training Centre in Aldermaston or where numbers make the course cost effective the employers place of work.
Target Group:
Those line managers who review Safety Policies, introduce control measures, or implement changes to ensure safety in the work place.
Objective of course:
to get managers up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their terms.
Contents:
Module one - Introducing managing health and safety;
Module two – Assessing risk;
Module three – Controlling risk;
Module four – Understanding your responsibilities;
Module five – Identifying hazards;
Module six – Investigating accidents and incidents;
Module seven – Measuring performance;
Module eight – Protecting our environment;
Assessment – written and practical on final day.
Successful delegates are awarded an IOSH Managing Safety Certificate.
