HEALTH and SAFETY POLICY

Optimum-MBA is committed to ensuring that none of our activities, acts or ommissions harm or put at unnecessary risk our employees, clients, visitors, contractors, suppliers, lodgers or members of the public.

In order to achieve this;

  • We recognise that there is no higher priority than the health and safety of an individual. It is the responsibility of our line management to ensure that the health and safety arrangements are being implemented effectively and that suitable information, instruction and training is provided.
  • We will ensure statutory conformance is our minimum standard and that our continual improvement process aligned to health and safety objectives will maintain us at the forefront of Health and Safety management.
  • We will operate a systematic approach to the identification of hazards and the management of risk within our operations, assigning responsibility throughout the management chain for its implementation.
  • Our arrangements for health and safety will be incorporated into the company IMS framework An annual management review shall demonstrate the effectiveness of our arrangements and provide the basis for continual improvement.
  • We will consult with employees, their representatives and any relevant stakeholders on health and safety issues.
  • We will strive to remove all causes of accidents and events and minimise the consequences if they occur. Employees, clients, visitors, contractors, etc will be encouraged to use the Optimum-MBA Abnormal Event System in pursuit of this objective.
  • We will measure the effectiveness of our arrangements as a basis for risk identification and continual improvement.
  • We will develop behavioural requirements in consultation with our employees and line management as part of our proactive culture.
The Senior Executive responsible for Health and Safety will review this Policy as part of our management review process and provide a written report on Health and Safety performance to the Board of Directors. Changes made to the Policy will be communicated to all employees and relevant stakeholders.
